Tanaghmeilt Village, Ouzoud — Approx. 11:30
You arrive at Tanaghmeilt village in Azilal province.
A local guide can be added on the spot for about EUR 3 per person, walking the trails with the group and talking through the geology, the plants and the wildlife.
Anyone who would rather go it alone can, since the paths are well marked.

Cascades d'Ouzoud — 4 to 5 Hours of Free Time
The next 4 to 5 hours are free time.
Shaded paths drop through olive groves and fig trees to viewpoint after viewpoint over the 110-metre cascades, and where the sun hits the mist a rainbow sits there permanently.
Barbary macaques turn up too, in the branches and along the rocks.
At the bottom, natural pools make swimming hard to resist.
Small boats run for about 20 MAD along the El Abid River and pass under the spray, and local operators run cliff-jumping for anyone with the nerve.

Lunch by the Waterfalls
Lunch means the riverside cafes and the falls in front of you: fresh mint tea, Moroccan salads, grilled meats, Berber tagines, at roughly 80-120 MAD.

Return to the Village
The climb back up to the village takes 20 to 30 minutes at a steady pace.
