Marrakech Day Tour
Majorelle Garden & Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech
A guided half-day visit to the two landmarks that define artistic Marrakech, with entrance tickets reserved in advance so you skip the line at the gate.
Ten minutes from the noise of the medina, behind walls painted a blue you will not see anywhere else, sits the Majorelle Garden. Next door stands the Yves Saint Laurent Museum (mYSLm), built for the designer who saved the garden and called Marrakech his second home.
On this guided visit, your licensed local guide walks you through the lives of two artists, Jacques Majorelle and Yves Saint Laurent, and shows you how this city shaped both of them. Your tickets are booked in advance, so there is no queuing and no risk of a sold-out day.
“Marrakech opened my eyes to color, to light, to the intrinsic beauty of craft.”Yves Saint Laurent
Tour Highlights

Majorelle Garden, a Painter’s Living Canvas
The French painter Jacques Majorelle settled in Marrakech in 1919 and spent four decades turning a plot of dusty ground into one of the most unusual botanical gardens on earth. His boldest move was inventing his own shade of ultramarine, known today as Majorelle Blue, and painting every building, fountain and pot with it.
After his death in 1962 the garden slowly fell apart. Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé found it in 1980, bought it to stop a hotel project from swallowing it, and restored it plant by plant. Saint Laurent drew on it until the end of his life, and his ashes were scattered here in 2008.

The Majorelle Garden, the most visited cultural landmark in Marrakech
Yves Saint Laurent Museum, Where Fashion Meets Morocco
Opened in 2017 a few steps from the garden, the mYSLm rotates pieces from an archive of more than 5,000 objects: garments, sketches, photographs and accessories. You follow the full arc of Saint Laurent’s career, from his Dior years to the bursts of colour he took directly from the souks and light of Morocco.
The building itself, by the French practice Studio KO, wears a terracotta brick facade woven like Moroccan textile. Together with the rare footage and audiovisual rooms inside, it ranks among the finest museum experiences on the continent.
